Team Dragon - EYFS and Year 1

Welcome to Team Dragon

 

 

We believe in learning through curiosity, enthusiasm, and by having lots of fun!

 

Our themes revolve around seasonal topics and the children's interests, following a two-year rolling plan.  This year's themes include; Marvellous Me, Terrific Toys and Welcoming Winter, Epic Explorers, Step Outside, Once Upon a Time, and Mythical Marvels.

 

Our aim is to develop the children's skills across all curriculum areas, with a thoughtfully planned mixture of adult-directed and child-initiated activities in our wonderful classroom provision.  
 

We enjoy Phonics, English, Maths, collective worship, fine motor activities, play dough, role-play, construction, small world play, and gross motor exploration in the garden.  Weekly PE lessons and Forest school fun in the summer term, are enjoyed by all.  Creativity is key in Team Dragon! We engage in lots of singing, dancing, playing instruments, drawing, painting, cutting, and sticking... and many more!

 

We love participating in village celebrations and events such as Harvest, Easter, and Christmas, and we enjoy school trips to local places of interest such as the seaside, Harlow Carr, and Stockeld Park.
