2020-2021

Autumn term in Team Unicorn has been fantastic and incredibly busy.

The first part of the term we have been doing the the topic 'All about me'.

We have created our family trees and painted self-portraits in the style of the artist Grayson Perry. We have been exploring our local environment identifying human and physical features.

This half of the term we are starting a new topic 'Let's Celebrate!' Where we will be exploring different celebrations, such as why we celebrate Bonfire night and what it means by Remembrance Day. We will also be looking at the religious significance of festivals, such as the Hindu festival of Diwali and what Christmas means to Christians.

We also will be working with our resident artist - Mrs Bellerby on creating delicious cake models inspired by the artist Peter Anton.

We will also be continuing to take part in our Forest School activities, learning about our environment and developing key life skills, as well as enjoying an occasional hot chocolate!

Here is a snap shot of what we have accomplished so far!

Making our thanksgiving reflection tree.
