The children had a great day celebrating Chinese New Year. Unicorns class have been working on oriental artwork, numbers and stories, while Nursery and Team Dragon have role play Chinese cafes, dressing up, Chinese artwork, lanterns and snakes. The children have even been counting in Cantonese!
At lunchtime we shared a lovely Chinese meal together, with noodles, rice, chicken and beansprouts. As well as Mrs Shields' superb cooking, the children enjoyed opening Fortune Cookies and sharing prawn crackers, to the sound of Chinese music in the background.

Thank you to Mrs Shields and Mrs Lazenby for working so hard on the food preparation, and Mrs Harris and Mrs Addyman for their help in making this a very exciting and memorable meal.
